though I can still panic stop without dropping it.

Plus, survival, the letter should be here any day, friend on the radio, and less.

Poll: Why does it idle so high? Update [2008-5-23 17:30:39 by georgeha]: She's in, home brewing, home roasting.

I just got back from four miles of panic stopping and turning practice, I even got a tiny rear wheel slide in on one of the panic stops.

The idle is still too high, when it cools down I'm going to adjust the throttle cables.

Eleven year old survived her oral surgery, it was rough, and now she's popping vicodin. She and her sister are camping with my folks until Sunday.

It was odd, while we were waiting for the doctor/dentist, my friend's band, 40 Rod Lightning, was being interviewed by a local station, the Buzz and even played a song. Eleven year old didn't want to be left alone, so we had to skip their appearance at the Dinosaur.

In yet another RIASC, I ran into two school mom's while picking up the Vicodin and penicillin. Daytime must be a popular grocery time for SAHMs.

Newspaper_girl got her letter from the School of the Arts, we should hear today. Update [2008-5-23 17:30:39 by georgeha]: She's in! That's $4500 a year we'll save. Also, I have a dry Irish Stout fermenting, and roasted coffee today!

vicodin by ObviousTroll (2.00 / 0) #1 Fri May 23, 2008 at 03:15:11 PM EST
I have to say that when I took vicodin after I had a wisdom tooth pulled, the drug was worse than the pain - just sayin'.

I was a very unhappy camper till I stopped taking them and just waited it out.

Has anybody seen my clue? I know I had it when I came in here.

I forgot to check the medicine cabinet before our open house, so some fucking douchebag scored 5 vicodin.  They left the empty bottle, which I found when packing.  Goddammit, I had plans for those.

obviously check the cables first by 256 (2.00 / 0) #2 Fri May 23, 2008 at 03:17:32 PM EST
if you can slacken the throttle cable a little bit and not have it stall, problem solved.

but then, you knew that.

I get confused on how to do that by georgeha (2.00 / 0) #3 Fri May 23, 2008 at 03:43:00 PM EST
it's got two cables, and I forgot which cable cover to loosen, and which to tighten.

I think I'll back up the thumbscrew until it nearly touches the butterfly plate, and figure it out from there.

have a knob that you twist to alter the idle on the fly ?

Congrats on the admission... by yankeehack (2.00 / 0) #7 Fri May 23, 2008 at 06:00:57 PM EST
I don't know what LO is going to do about high school - she has one more of elementary and then it is off to middle school. The public schools here are pretty good but I'm leaning towards private.

Her dad will obviously disagree.

You know what is funny? I voted for McCain in 2000 and Obama in 2008. (And let's not forget Edwards in 1998.)

There's only one really good public high school by georgeha (2.00 / 0) #9 Sat May 24, 2008 at 02:22:32 AM EST
in the city, and she got in it. I reckon we're saving about 20k in 6 years of tuition, better used for paying off cc debt and putting in a 529k.
