What a beautiful face.

I'm sorry for your loss, but glad that you shared her with us.

Yes, she was pretty. Quite the snuggle-bug for Mrs. FT as well. She is missed.

Between you, BadDoggie and some friends of mine all losing their cats recently, my critter must be wondering why she is getting all this extra attention from me:(

Attention by FlightTest (2.00 / 0) #13 Fri Oct 05, 2007 at 01:22:59 PM EST
We have two left, both males. One has become our daughters cat. That one really couldn't get any more attention than he already gets. The other is quite the wanderer. He'll get some more attention, but he doesn't tolerate it well, so we'll likely end up with a few bites and scratches.

She was a beautiful cat, and she was obviously very much loved. My best to you and your family. :(

She was so very much loved. At least she got to pass with her head on Mrs. FT's arm, where she so often slept.

Our cats are getting older and I'm dreading this part of our relationship.

Has anybody seen my clue? I know I had it when I came in here.

Hopefully we won't have to face this again for quite some time, the boys are quite a bit younger.

I spent the rest of the evening (and some today) thinking "Did we make the right decision"? Mentally I'm sure that we did, there just were no positive signs. Emotionally I guess you're never sure.

Absolute, complete and total suckage by BadDoggie (4.00 / 2) #11 Fri Oct 05, 2007 at 11:44:59 AM EST
With only 10% odds I probably would've also given in. The fact that she was clearly suffering was the clincher. Will there be enough kittens to fill the recent HuSi demand?

Yeah, we had said when we found the tumor that we'd only treat it as long as she wasn't suffering. There didn't seem to be a way to continue treatment with any kind of quality of life for her.

Mrs. FT already wants another one, because neither of the males cozies to her the way Missy did. I asked her to wait a bit and see if she still felt that way in a month or two. Plus of course there's no guarantee a new cat would snuggle with her.

and you must have loved that cat very much. We can only hope that Miss Kitty is in a better place now, resting in peace.

Mrs. FT is taking it much harder, Miss Kitty was much more her cat, and often slept on or next to her.
